Author Michael Panckridge has reintroduced the Legends series. These books are about sport and sportsmanship. They were written initially to appeal to reluctant readers but they are well written , with characters we can relate to and deal with sport so therefore can attract a wider audience.
In the first in the series “Chasing the break” a new year begins at Sandhurst Primary School and a new boy Mitchell Grady meets the reigning sports champ Travis Fisk in the first challenge…… the legend of the surf.
There are interactive Q codes for the home and classroom where readers can complete quizzes, games, interview characters and share their sporting achievements.
