Way out in the ocean on a tiny island lives a tree called Tanglewood. It would spy seals and dolphins but no matter how it called to them no one ever came. It was lonely. It stopped flourishing and began to yellow and peel.
One day during a storm a seagull fell into its branches. Tanglewood finds its purpose again and shelters and protects the bird. Even after the seagull has gone back to her family it makes itself strong again just in case she returns once more in need of shelter. And when she finally does its heart fills with the wonder of family.
I simply can not capture this beautiful and heartfelt story enough with my words. Tanglewood is one of my favourites this year. A gentle and touching story about the importance of family and friendship. Highly recommended.
